Despite sharing the main adventure in the preceding Hercule et le royaume oublié (1994), Hercules and Deianeira act as if they don't know each other at the beginning of this film. However, it is rather obvious that, although they have the same name, the Deianeira of the last movie and the one in this movie are two different characters, with different actresses, personalities, and backstories.
