Madhuri DIxit was embarrassed by her role in Vardi. When it started out she had a good role of a cancer patient who loves Jackie and has to die in the end. So the seduction scene was justified. But Madhuri felt there were way too many characters in the film and the film became to long. So when the time came to edit the film, her character was slashed because it was the only one outside of the story. The cancer angle was dropped. But her steamy scene's were retained. Then Umesh Mehra decided to give extra footage to Kimi Katkar. This made Madhuri's role into a supporting one.

Not that bad..but entertaining..especially because of Madhuri DIxit

Vardi is an action packed Masala Movie. It Stars Sunny Deol in a decent role. Jackie Shroff in a boring role (Watch Hero, Allah Rakha, Parinda). Madhuri Dixit in a special appearance, more of a Love making scene with Jackie Shroff. Kimi Katkar, who annoys in almost all her films, similarity of the Kapoor sisters. Kader Khan, the only person who does a good job of this movie. The movie has the usual typical 80s style storyline which include parent getting killed, long lost kids that need to re unite, love triangle and final revenge. What made the film quite successful has to be the in famous Madhuri Dixit scene. For those who haven't seen this movie, It contains Madhuri looking ever so sexy exposing glimpses of her body and french kissing away with Jackie Shroff in bed. This is quite rare in Bollywood, you don't get much adult scenes, because it should be aimed at family audience. But most men wanted to be Jackie Shroff for that 2 minutes, including me. I would do Madhuri hard if given the chance. But Madhuri started this (other movies include Dayavan and Parinda). But after the 90s. Their have been many movies with adult scenes including Jism, Murder, Julie, Hawas, Fun and many more
