Commentaire à la une
"Girl of the Ozarks" is a film about a lonely little girl who just doesn't fit in at school. She comes from an impoverished family, her mother is extremely sickly and the child just needs some loving discipline. But instead, the school see tiny little Edie (Virginia Weidler) as incorrigible...though she's got a lot of promise and is actually rather sweet. In fact, the school keeps threatening to send her to the County Home (who would have thought the school had the authority to do this)! So what's gonna happen to her? See the film.
The film is sweet but also a bit saccharine and heavy-handed. It's not bad...but the more cynical out there probably would find it all a bit too much.
