Naughty Boys

Not sure when it happened, but Adult Cinema has evidently taken a U-turn in recent years (or decades?) judging by the way once-prominent directors and producers suddenly pop up merely as crew flunkies (Red Ezra, Shylar Cobi, Mark Nicholson to name a few) after their salad days are over. Similarly, Skye Blue is among the most accomplished of recent helmers, male or female, but it's disconcerting to see her grinding out pointless trash like this series of stroke films for Playgirl and Wicked. I would be curious to see what the pay scale is for "auteurs" in this rapidly declining segment of show biz.

In "Naughty Boys" we watch innumerable vignettes consisting of some male model stripping and teasing, and then beating off interminably for the camera. Two and a half hours of such filler is a bit much.

So what exactly did Skye do as a director? Possibly yell occasionally for the talent to get on with it? Even a fan of this ill-fated Wicked Pictures series, usually credited to "malesolos.com" with Playgirl only mentioned in the fine print on the DVD box, would have to admit that the guys' inability to cum on cue is a drawback. Cast of mainly no-namers would fail to qualify as woodsmen in a first-class Skye production, where the Viagra-enhanced studs can drop a load at the drop of a hat. And who says I can't coin a dumb phrase?
