Kristen's mother, Sherri DeLuca passed away on March 13, 2008 at the age of 45 from brain cancer (gliobastoma) and three brain tumor surgeries. Sherri battled this cancer for two years, and fought so hard for her life. Kristen is in the process of trying to form a Foundation of Brain Cancer Awareness in her mother's memory to help other people battling this vicious disease. It is her goal to find a cure, along with preventive care and an answer to the question of what causes this form of cancer.
