Constantin J. David est né le 18 février 1886 à Constantinople, Empire ottoman (aujourd'hui Istanbul, Turquie). Il était réalisateur et scénariste. Il est connu pour Liebeslied (1931), Sündenbabel (1925) et Das Mädchen ohne Heimat (1927). Il était marié à Käthe von Nagy. Il est mort le 19 février 1964 en Californie, États-Unis.
