Was expelled from boarding school as a boy for changing the organ pipes around in the school chapel during the Christmas holidays. He was lonely and unhappy because his parents were in Singapore and he couldn't make the journey to his grandmother's house in Llanelli because it was too expensive. When they attempted to play the organ, he described the sound like "Stevie Wonder going mental.".

There's so much mythologizing around me, I don't like going to parties, I like having parties at home. And I've never been a great drinker. I only go to our local because the owners are friends of mine, normally after I've been playing cricket or golf.
