John Major est né le 29 mars 1943 à Surrey, Angleterre, Royaume-Uni. Il est marié avec Norma Major depuis le 3 octobre 1970. Lui et Norma Major ont deux enfants.
He became the Conservative Member of Parliament for Huntingdon in 1979. He was also British Prime Minister (1990-1997). He retired from the Commons at the 2001 General Election.
As I prepare to leave the House I wish to see it thrive, because, for all its shortcomings, it remains the best and least corrupt system of government that I have ever seen.
