Chainsaw Babe 3D

'Chainsaw Babe 3D (2012)' (also known as 'Chainsaw Maid 3 (2012)') is a claymation movie in which a naked woman cuts up several zombies with a chainsaw. That's all there is to it. It's a crass, crude and violent short film that doesn't really have much value outside of its creatively gooey gore. It's a weird, frankly immature choice to have the protagonist be nude all the way through the piece. It doesn't add anything to the narrative (it doesn't make her more vulnerable or anything like that) and it's also rather distracting because the YouTube version has black bars covering her private areas, which block off much more of the frame than you'd like. Still, the thing isn't without its merit. Its rough-around-the-edges aesthetic and subversively dark humour have their charm. Its gruesome killings are animated rather impressively, too. It's decent enough for what it is, but it isn't all that engaging overall. 5/10.
