This Girlfriends Films VOD release is further evidence of how the 20-year-old label has strayed from its original concept. I believe that loyal fans from the old days, myself included, will reject the new direction of recent years, as reflected in videos directed by B. Skow, and be replaced in the audience by new fans who just want to consume gonzo porn.

I'm sure Skow is aware that "Twisted Passions" used to deal in almost soap opera form with the prostitutes and their customers at the Lamoyne Hotel in the fictional town of Thornhill. For Volume 33, this concept is completely abandoned, as well as the entertaining look at the seedier side of (fictional) lesbian lifestyles.

Instead, Skow unsuccessfully tries to disguise his set of four random, mechanical lesbian sex scenes with lengthy dialogue set-ups that are both dumb and pointless. There's no drama or characterizations, reducing this VOD to porn by the pound.

I can't pretend that the prelude footage is interesting -in each case we watch a couple of porn actresses improvise boring dialogue to basically just kill time until a seduction is consummated. Girlfriends already has a successful, long-running series "Lesbian Seductions", where these vignettes rightfully belong. The word "twisted" in the title violates truth in advertising, unless one is a religious nut (or DeSantis supporter) who thinks lesbianism is a crime, hardly the target audience for this girl/girl porn label!

Opening scene plays like a shaggy-dog story, as college student Blake Blossom, living with kindly landlady Rachael Cavalli, confides in her about her big date that night, the third such date with a new girlfriend. The date goes sideways drastically, and Rachael on cue cheers up the forlorn Blossom as only RC can -with some hot lesbian sex!

A more cryptic but equally clunky setup scene has platinum blonde Jessica Starling out picking flowers when Riley Reign (presumably her neighbor -it's never made clear) wanders over to chat. Later we listen to Jessica recording hypnotic suggestions on her phone to the effect: "You will love Jessica" and a sleeping Riley listening to the recording on her phone. Director Skow doesn't explain how this messaging is transmitted, but apparently it works, because next time she visits, Riley is horny and the two make love, both ample of bosom for the viewer's benefit.

Another dumb scene has phone sex between Sarah Taylor at work, and nude Summer Vixen at home, both masturbating to the sound of the other's voice.

Poor editing has them soon making love on a bed -some transition footage (if this were a traditional storytelling feature) would have helped, but clearly Skow was anxious to "get on with it".

Final scene was quite entertaining but managed to be poorly directed anyway. It brings a huge-breasted performer (Ashlyn Peaks) to the label, conjuring up fond memories of the good old days when a Cindy or Persia Monir or Karen Fisher would pop up to please big-tits fanatics.

What passes for a slow-paced story, but is ridiculous, unfolds as follows: (1) Ashlyn masturbates as she watches young cheerleader Fiona Frost practicing solo cheers outside her window; (2) sweaty Fiona thanks Ashlyn for the use of her backyard (her own backyard is too crowded or whatever apparently) and Ashlyn offers the use of her shower; (3) we see beautiful Fiona, with her runway fashion model figure taking a shower and Ashlyn brings her a towel and helps rub the water off her body afterward; (4) Ashlyn takes Fiona's measurements to gift her some clothing; (5) slow-moving Ashlyn completes seducing the girl and is treated to much deserved breast worship.

Yes, quality "Lesbian Seductions: Older/Younger" content foolishly released as "Twisted Passions".
