Anecdotes
Of the more than 140,000 women who served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II, about 6,500 of them were Black. The Army created the 6888th in late 1944 and included five companies totaling about 850 Black women. They were commanded by Army Maj. Charity Adams, who finished the war as a lieutenant colonel, becoming the highest-ranking Black woman during the war.

What I didn't know

I normally don't watch a lot of Tyler's movies, but since I noticed that they were getting better because I liked of his last ones I thought I'd take a shot at this one. This movie was quite moving. I pretty much cried all the way through it basically because I didn't know anything about these women never heard anything about it and I am so thankful that Tyler Perry decided to do this movie about them. You hear so often about people of color doing things and never getting any recognition even more so never been in the history books Something that important should've been taught and I'm sorry that it wasn't but this is an excellent movie with excellent actors and I was so glad to see Michelle Obama, giving them their recognitio. I would recommend this movie for everyone to see:
