Logroño 1959, Fabianito (Airas) as a teenager is a apprentice poet who attends, perplexed, the grotesque organization of his great-grandfather's wake . Recorded in black and white, the film transmits with ironical humor the taboos of a very Catholic and Francoist family, whose parents (Carlos Iglesias , Silvia Marsó) and relatives are lined up by soldiers and conservative ladies . In this context, Fabianito only sees his sexual curiosity satisfied through the most rebellious branch of his family: his aunt Clara (Blanca Romero) and his cousin Marianín . Around the main action, there are long sequence-shots in which a multitude of parallel stories are intermingled, each more absurd . As events and visits happen so uncontrollably that they lead to the most comical and unpredictable situations. In these circumstances Fabianito will discover other members of the peculiar family , egoistic social life and love .
Dedicated to Rafael Azcona , creator of the novel "Poor, paralyzed and dead", on which the three stories (El Pisito , El Cochecito and this one) are based . Well directed by Spanish filmmaker José Luis García Sánchez, though it is not among their best works . The film welcomes a wide range of veteran and young actors , who are competently directed by José Luis Garcia Sánchez (La Corte del Faraon) . He directs this film based on the homonymous work by Rafael Azcona that completes the trilogy of ¨El Pisito¨ and ¨El Cochecito¨, begun in 1958 that I did not adapted to the cinema because censorship did not allow it . Garcia Sánchez and David Trueba (Living is Easy with Eyes Closed) take up the project as a homage to Azcona , one of the best Spanish screen writers . A film with a very theatrical air and structurally somewhat rigid , its greatest greatness lies in the fact that it radiates love for a type of cinema that has already left us . Following the planning and image criteria of its predecessors, the film is shot in black and white with atmospheric cinematography by cameraman Fernando Ribes and the sound is later similar to the Fifities . The film includes an effective cast headed by Carlos Iglesias (Un Franco 14 Pesetas), Silvia Marsó (Velvet), Blanca Romero (After) , Maria Galiana (Cuentame) and a great support cat with a lot of experience , such as : Mariola Fuentes (Habla con ella), Alex Angulo (El Laberinto del Fauno), Mariola Fuentes , Carlos Álvarez-Nóvoa , Luis Bermejo, Juan Jesús Valverde , Javier Godino, Tina Sáinz , Fernando Chinarro , director Roberto Bodegas and Carlos Larrañaga's last feature film.
The motion picture was professionally directed by Jose Luis Garcia Sánchez , though being really stagy , containing flaws , and too much claustrophobic mayhem . He is a notorious writer and director, known for writing : ¨Belle Epoque¨ (1992) for director Jose Luis Garci , ¨Corazon Solitario¨, ¨Furia Española¨ for filmmaker Francisco Betriu , ¨Habla Mudita¨ and ¨Camada Negra¨ for Manuel Gutierrez Aragón . His films debuts were a trilogy of comedies in politic trendy : ¨El Love Feroz¨, ¨Colorin Colorado¨ and ¨Las Truchas¨ (1978) , the latter won Golden Bear in Berlin Festival . He also directed a documentary : ¨Dolores¨ that pays tribute to communist Ibarruri . He subsequently collaborates with Rafael Azcona such as ¨Hay Deshacer La Casa¨, ¨Pasodoble¨, ¨El Vuelo De La Paloma¨ and ¨El Seductor¨ . And two rendition upon Ramon Valle Inclan novels : ¨Divinas Palabras¨ (1985) , and ¨Tirano Banderas¨ , as well as a pair of farceur comedies ¨Suspiros De España¨ (1995) , and ¨Siempre Hay Camino a la Derecha¨ . Furthermore , two historical films ¨La Noche Mas Larga¨ and ¨Lazaro De Tormes¨ (2001) . ¨Los muertos no se tocan, nene¨(2011) rating : 6/10 . It was presented in official section of Sevilla Festival Cinema and was nominated CEC (Cinema Writers Circle) Award Best Screenplay Adapted to Writers José Luis García Sánchez , Bernardo Sánchez , David Trueba.
