Anecdotes
'Madhavan' was also one of the stars of the highly-acclaimed film 3 Idiots (2009). He used to miss that team and every night after the shoot they used to call each other.

Gaffes
When Manu Sharma goes to Raja Avasthi's house for the first time to see Raja's sister for marriage, Raja's father introduces another girl, Sapna, to Manu's father as Raja's fiancée. Sapna is never seen or mentioned again after that, but later Raja is seen trying to marry Tanu in a Court in Kapurthala. It should also be noted that Raja was the one to send 4-5 goons (via another friend Ravi Kishan) to scare Manu when he first reaches Kanpur Station. It is confusing because Raja is already engaged to be married to Sapna by then.

What a drag!

Despite the film's incredible success, I personally found it to be a simple film with nothing but overused clichés of Hindi cinema. A mess made for theatres, suitable as television serial, though has splendid actors in it, falls short because of it's boring screenplay.

Just because you take a bakwaas bollywood film, remove all of it's cringe parts, and make a Desi film out of it with Desi music filling incessantly, doesn't make your film award deserving. It was rather disappointing.
