One of Those Days or: How Do I Get a Mark on My Forehead

The tattoo machine used in the tattoo scene was put together by the producer/director just a few minutes before the shooting using a screwdriver, some extra screwdriver bits and a piece of duct tape. The real tattoo artist who refused to let the actor use his real tattoo machine was genuinely surprised by the ingenuity of the faked one after seeing it. Unfortunately, due to time limitation, the shot that has the tattoo machine in it was later dropped.

In the original script and one of the earlier cuts, the last scene had a dead Lionel lying on his stomach in the middle of the intersection after the accident takes place. The reason for cutting this scene was that the director wanted the movie to start on action and also end on action.
