In 2003, an unknown amateur named Chris Moneymaker won $2.5M in the World Series of Poker Main Event: the world's most prestigious poker tournament. Suddenly poker was everywhere. Moneymaker's rags-to-riches victory quickly became the new American Dream. Overnight, the struggling online poker market exploded into a multi-billion dollar industry. Out of this poker boom, a golden opportunity was born. Bright, young minds in universities around the globe soon discovered the keys to a winning strategy and many students who began playing casually were suddenly earning more money than their parents. As the online poker economy continued to expand, scads of twenty-somethings made the decision to play online poker professionally and began the journey from busto to robusto.

Great Documentary.

This was an excellent poker documentary showing the real life ups and downs of poker. An excellent job showing real people with real problems and where they are at now.

CaptainZeebo is the quintessential poker geek who's not only succeeded in poker but seems to have a solid grasp on life now.

For those non poker players it will come off as strange and maybe a tad bit depressing.

As a part time player it provided some inspiration in his ability to overcome big downswings.

Great show looking forward to part II.
