Anecdotes
As well as extensive CGI environments, some practical sets were built. Director Jon M. Chu wanted the world of Oz to feel like a real place for the actors and actresses, rather than just a computer-generated background. This included planting 9 million tulips to serve as part of the landscape for Munchkinland, although for wider shots VFX was still used.

Gaffes
In the classroom scene where Elphaba causes the flowers to rise in the air and the pollen sends the students to sleep, you can clearly see a wire suspending one of the flowers as it moves. It will be interesting if this gets corrected for the streaming and DVD release of the film.

Better than expected

Got to see a few hours ago in IMAX which was magnificent even my sister was there and I'm pretty she loved it! Wicked should be up for awards especially for set design, acting and directing are all great aspects. I'm generally not a fan of musicals but glad I saw this wild ride a couple days before the wide release.

Cynthia and Ariana Grande were exceptional throughout they both deserve praise for their performances/exciting vibes! I had a long day I was little achy that was my complication otherwise this was delightful charming gem that will most likely be appreciated by most audiences as should be.
