Her husband is a well-connected politician with a bright future in government. The lady herself is a very pretty lecturer, but trapped in a bad marriage. She attends a bit of a wild party one night & wakes up with a dead guy. Oops. The husband's cronies 'fix' everything, including setting up one of the male party-goers for the homicide. And this all comes early, you see?
It happens that the brother of the 'patsy' is a bit of an investigative reporter, with decent resources to assist him in digging into the crime. He gets a job as a Personal Assistant to the lady, but soon he grows very fond of her (she is perhaps 10 years older). He is trying to determine if she has the 'form' to commit the homicide, but 'those lips-those eyes' make it a tough assignment. The abusive husband, meantime, proves to be a self-serving, glaring thug, chasing attractive young ladies (and men), and showing himself without a single redeeming quality. He seems to me a very likely candidate for the homicide that started this whole story off, but we are only on Episode 5 (of 13?)-so, we cannot provide any spoilers.
Performances, camera work, background scenery & music are all first-class-so, I think we will stick with this one, and test our hunches.
