These guys are really good at making comedic rap songs also sound like good rap songs. From the Beastie Boys (Uniform On), the obvious Bay Area/E-40 style (Let's Bash), to newer artists like Juice WRLD and other melodic "Mumble Rappers" (Daddy), they really understand how to make good songs. While they always seem to fall back to the "Beastie Boys Style" (the hard beat with the yell rap and synchronized/doubled ends of sentences), they always make it funny.
The art direction is great and when I found out Mike Diva had a hand in directing this whole thing, it all made sense. Lots of 80's Outrun/Vaporwave influences going on. I'd say I want them to make another one but it feels like there could never be a duo as eccentric as Jose and Mark to parody like this.
You can definitely tell Andy, Jorma, and Akiva grew up during the heyday of the A's and were influenced by the Bash Brothers to make this mockumentary as a testament to their childhoods.
