This is Neil Jordan's most known and probably best film. The doc starts off with him talking about his flops before Crying Game and how High Spirits got re cut by executives.
He had this idea about a man who befriends a dead soldier's wife, but that idea was already done. So he decided to add that twist in it.
Then we focus how this movie got funded. This is about an IRA man, mind you. That was difficult. But they got the job done.
Then the casting of Dil, the filmmakers wanted cast real transvestites.
Near the end, Neil talks about how the film's ending had to be changed.
How the movie was not received in the UK due to the plot about an IRA man. But it was received well in the US due to the relationship between Dil and Furgus.
We even get an interview with an actual former IRA man.
Stephen Rea mentions how gay people love him for this movie.
And we end on how proud the filmmakers are of this movie.
