Anecdotes
In the final shot where McCloud and Bubba stroll off into the distance, Dennis Weaver's stunt double is used to make Bubba look even bigger (Weaver was six feet two inches, the double just five feet eight).

Gaffes
After McCloud leaves Mrs. White he talks to Joe before they walk into the elevator. The floor is visible in the shot and there is no break in the floor, revealing that it's really just another room with a sliding door and not a real elevator.

All this has is Dennis Weaver's charm

The plot here is tedious -- a mentally challenged debt collector trying to collect his commission from a big city gangster. You'll quickly get tired of Bo Svenson's scenes, which vary little as the script progresses.

Weaver is outstanding, as usual, but he had very little here to work with.
