Anecdotes
Originally titled "Hero's Quest", the name was changed when there was a clash of copyrights with the board game of the same name. The title was changed to Quest for Glory instead.

Gaffes
In the end of the game, among the guests at the celebration party is Toro the minotaur, although the Hero (when playing the role of Fighter) must kill him in order to win the game.

Autres versions
The original 1989 floppy disk version was originally called "Hero's Quest: So You Want to Be a Hero". The Title Screen is called "Hero's Quest", the top menu bar title read "So You Want to Be a Hero" and after you beat the game, the next sequel title was called "Hero's Quest II" However there was a copyright lawsuit by Milton Bradley Company as they used the name HeroQuest for their board game which forced the Sierra Company to change the title to "Quest for Glory I" including the title screen, the top menu bar and even the ending telling the player the next sequel would be "Quest for Glory II" and all future releases would be called "Quest for Glory"
