The Croatian film, directed by Branko Schmidt, belongs in the category of Yugo nostalgic. This poignant family drama was set in a society marked by many divisions in Croatia. It was promoted as "the first Croatian film available on DVD." This movie was Croatia's official entry for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category at the 74th Academy Awards in 2002, following its success at the Pula Film Festival where it won The Golden Arenas for Best Production and Best Screenplay.

Set in Osijek in 1968, the story revolves around teenager Tomo, who has the opportunity to compete in a Youth Cup rowing competition that will be opened by Josip Broz Tito himself, the greatest rowing hope in Osijek. However, Tomo and his friends are more interested in girls than rowing. Fortunately, a kind-hearted prostitute named Betika comes to their aid, along with Tomo's friend from school -Jasna.

Struggling with his sexual desires due to a physical disability, Tomo ends up in the hospital. While there, ready for an operation, local authorities pressure him to participate in the Cup at any cost, especially when his father is arrested as a political suspect.
