Anecdotes
The storyline is loosely based on real life bank robbers Terry Lee Conner and Joseph Dougherty. Many elements of their heists are accurately depicted in this film, including breaking into the house of a bank manager, and giving a soda to one of their victims.

Joe and Kate appear to switch sides in bed - but one of the shots is as seen in the mirror and there is no continuity error.

Sometimes it's very good to see a bandits story with quite funny characters; Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton are quite excentric robbers.And to complete this robbery story , a kidnapped woman (Cate Blanchett) who feels well as hostage !! A very pleasant comedy with a touch of suspense and humour.
