Like it says above, my head hurts. I'm home alone with the mother of all flu's crawling up and down my spine and sinuses. Sitting up really hurts. I can't see very good without my glasses on, and the bridge of my nose is too sore to carry the weight of them. I'm also bored out of my skull and playing a game of discoveries.
Game of discoveries, what might that be? Basically I'm surfing around at YouTube. Good music, odd documentaries, lots of sci-fi short movies, and occasional "real" movies. Just to pass time. Take my mind off from the fact that it has been almost a week since I moved from this chair anywhere ecept to the bathroom.
I like this kind of movies. Mad Max (1979?) is one of my all time favorites, so I decided to give this a go when I stumbled upon this when browsing YouTube. Hour and a half later I can only wonder what makes anybody to make this kind of waste of time, money and celluloid.
Script felt and sounded amateurish, as if the writers were making it up as they were filming the movie.
Actors weren't really acting, they were reading their lines, too embarrassed over shabby script to even pretend to be acting.
Sound was atrocious. Music was grating my ears and didn't really fit in. As a result every line of the lame script the actors tried to utter was buried under piano and guitar melodies.
Coreography was straight out of the tai-chi class my ninety-year old grandma takes every sunday. I kept waiting the actors to fall asleep during "action" sequences.
But finally we're getting to the one aspect that made me present one star. Camerawork. This was apparently too old of a movie to have shakycam implemented. It was nice to see what was happening on-screen. Then again, little shake and jiggle could have hidden the fact that any of the actors weren't really action stars, and the guy who designed the fight sequences was probably drunk. Or three years old. Or both.
