- Autres versionsThe British version released by Entertainment In Video is missing a few scenes due to censorship, most notably some of the "hostages rigged with bombs" sequence (originally a hostage deliberately ran at a Disinfestor so the bomb goes off in his face) and Strike hitting a Disinfestor in the helmet visor with his shotgun butt causing his face to turn to red mush. The American Media entertainment NTSC video version is HEAVILY edited and missing some segments that completely change the plot of the film. In this version Vice President survives by simply driving out of the Bronx. Toblerone, Blonde Female Rebel and Big Little Man don't die and the scene where Trash takes on 3 disinfestors armed only with a crash helmet is gone.

This falls into the so bad it's good category. A dystopian future (filmed in the early 80's) where a hodgepodge of gangs fight to keep their homes located in the Bronx, NY. Throughout the movie they threaten the residents to move them out of the Bronx to be relocated to New Mexico (seemingly a move up in quality of life). If they don't leave, they get killed. The gangs are quite colorful yet not as much as that other 80's (1979) NYC movie gem "The Warriors". There's a Puerto Rican who rocks a confederate flag patch on his shoulder, nazis who look like the cast of Welcome Back Kotter, and a Hispanic guy who likes to speak spanish then translate what he just said into English. What's somewhat interesting is the director's homophobia and how it makes its way onto screen via a young child who greets people by calling them the three letter F bomb (fitting because apparently he's also a bomb specialist) and a tv news reporter who yells "look at him! He runs like a fa*"! In describing the President of the evil development company. There are plot holes galore in this trashy yet enjoyable film which is always fun to pick apart when watching with friends.
