A touch of nothing - Gina Lollobrigida and Louis Jourdan as bores in Paris
Mon dieu! What should the young-at-heart bourgeois (Louis Jourdan) from Paris do out of boredom when his own wife (Renee Faure) has become boring? Of course, he keeps a chaotic Italian woman (Gina Lollobrigida) as his lover, who almost jumps off the balcony in desperation just because the gorgeous guy has something else in mind. At least Bella Donna gets to know her neighbor (Corinne Marchand) and her lover (Philippe Noiret). The well-preserved bourgeois just wanted to help his almost grown daughter (Muriel Baptiste) make her ancient lover (Daniel Gelin) jealous. Yawn!
World-famous actors in a boring production (also known in German-speaking countries as "The Italian Lover") that doesn't know where it's supposed to lead. Just as plush and dusty as the interior of the apartments shown in the film. With this film, Lollo consciously wanted to herald her descent from the A-class of female film stars.
A small ray of hope: At the very beginning of the film there is a nice appearance by the wonderful Claude Gensac as the bored philanderer's secretary.
Otherwise: An article from the series "Films that the world doesn't need", even if attractive world stars actually star in it.
