Anecdotes
Betty Marsden said during filming to Dilys Laye that she always wanted to die with a glass of gin in her hand. In Denville Hall, a home for old actors, this is exactly what happened after Miss Marsden arrived there in July 1998: she collapsed and died at the home's bar while drinking gin and smoking a cigarette.

Gaffes
Miss Haggard's blue towel "turban" disappears and reappears between shots when Babs' bra comes off.

Autres versions
As with many Carry On films the BBFC required cuts for an 'A' (PG) certificate. Although the double-entendres during the tent scene were eventually allowed, the word 'erection' was removed, as was an entire scene where Peter leaves the girls' tent. Later releases feature the same edited print.

congratulating the film on being wonderful

This is a classic....One of the best Carry On films and of course the most well known (thanks to the famous bra popping scene...Yes you know!) Sid James is on top form along with Charlie Hawtrey and Kenneth Williams. It has all the regulars in it which contribute to it being so wonderful and funny. If you have never seen it (I don't believe you) see it because you will never see camping in the same light again.
