Despite this movie being an adaptation of an operetta, the movie features practically no songs from "Der Vogelhändler" by Carl Zeller. While the story remains the same and the characters are the same, the original songs are either only played instrumentally as a score or are sang in the background, never as part of the plot itself, except for Adam singing "Wir spiel'n bei Hof gar heut" in the second half of the movie, while are others are asking who is singing.
