I will never forget this movie, I just watched it and I just know this is an epic that will live with me for the rest of my life. A brilliant movie on its own with its own plot all through-out. Its also a very needed movie that puts light on the systemic racism in the US police, and putting forward more black actors on the scene as well. We will get to know family bonds, and bonds to strangers that all play a part in the maincharacters path. The lovestory between the two isnt romantic and awkward, instead they grow fond of eachother because of mutual respect and unconditional love as fellow human beings in a very difficult situation. What the movie also teaches us is that in life we have to navigate between the angels that God bless us with - and the snakes of the devil out there. Money is the root of evil.
Its several years ago that I watched a movie that I couldnt take my eyes off for one second, Im kind of out of words. The movie triggered a lot of emotions and I will recommend it to everyone and give a huge thanks to the script writer and actors that left such an impression.
It has a very x-rated sex scene that lasts for a bit so kids under 15 may not be suitable to watch this movie, also because of a few very brutal gun scenes.
