Anecdotes
Alt-country legend Jim White stars in the film Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus which inspired the spirit of Ragged Heart. By coincidence, Jim's daughter Willow Avalon stars in Ragged Heart, her connection unknown at the time of casting. Subsequently, Jim agreed to also act in the film and contribute a beautiful original song to the soundtrack, which he performs on-camera.

Worth your time

I saw this at the Brooklyn Film Festival and I was expecting more of a musical or at least to have more singing on stage tbh. This was deeper and sadder and had more to do with the dad trying to figure out what happened to his daughter. He's basically looking for proof that he wasn't a bad dad after all which ends up being harder than he expected.

The actress playing his daughter was there and did a question and answer afterwards. She was really sweet and seemed like she had fun making the film but it was difficult to make at times because it was a smaller budget film and they had to deal with bad weather. But she did a great job and she's really pretty and also mysterious in the movie that left you guessing on what she was really up to. I don't know if a lot of people will get to see this but it's interesting and has an interesting look to it.
