Alberto Santos Dummont is the patron of aviation in Brazil, since he is an aviation pioneer, one of the very few people to have contributed significantly to the development of both lighter-than-air and heavier-than-air aircraft. Maria Luiza is an aeronautical mechanic of the Brazilian Armed Forces.
