Nica Noelle's Gay Drama "Prisoners of War" for her Icon Male label was an impressive and at times daring video, as Germans raped their G.I. Joe prisoners (yes, rape fantasies in porn can be had by men too). But in this followup she delivers the American XXX equivalent of those old British "quota quickies" -junky and slapdash features churned out by British studios in the '30s through '50s based strictly on subsidies and not artistic interests.
The other big difference is that Vol. 2 has one continuous story line rather than separate vignettes. Ty Roderick and Sam Truitt are the Yank prisoners, chained in a basement (rather unconvincing use of one of Nica's New England houses as a nondescript set supposedly "somewhere in occupied France" in 1944) by German officer Alexander Gustavo and his soldier flunky Trent Ferris.
They're subject to interrogation, after Gustavo humps his subordinate to get the Gay Sex content rolling. Alex, playing a character named Dieter, next humps young Sam portraying Charlie, forced sex at first but speedily achieving acquiescence from the kid. "I'm not the enemy, quite the opposite" says Dieter in a typical cutesy Nica Noelle dialog scene.
The 4-man cast, also evidence of a minuscule budget afforded this seeming 1-day wonder, is next mixed and matched with Roderick seducing the clueless soldier Heinrich played by Trent, while they're left alone with Heinrich supposed to guard him. Finale of course has the two G.I.'s humping each other, and then easily escaping into the New England subbing for La Belle France snowscape, as Ty unlocks their chains.
Only redeeming feature here is Gustavo's lip-smacking performance as a cultured, condescending German officer, putting on a cute slight accent and delivering his lines with relish. He gets into the spirit of the piece, continuing to talk in character rather than lapsing into porn-speak while humping, viz., "Stroke your meat, monster boy" (to Sam, referring to the actor's huge cock) or "I like a boy's feet" while indulging his foot fetish. Ty gets a good line too: "Getting laid doesn't make me a traitor".
But overall this is a huge step backwards in Nica's artistic progression, hardly worthy of comment given its nothing ventured = nothing gained result. Okay, it's better than gonzo or wall-to-wall-sex, but not by all that much.
