This overlong series has some good points, mainly the writing and realistic characters and a likeable cast that make it worth watching. It's not makjang. It's quite plausible.
The first part starts with struggling people both young and old getting a job and making a living. One family was wronged. But the daughter of that family played by Chae Soo Bin falls for the son of the villain. Concurrently another family made a bad investment and the parents struggle as well to allow the daughter to pursue her dreams. Quite touching.
There is good comedy in the first half. And Lee Sang Yeob shines as the spoiled son of the CEO who has a lot to learn. He provides the comic relief. And the funny parts are laugh out loud. There is also the struggle of a screen writer played by Kyung Soo Jin. Later things shift to the slightly cliched parental opposition and birth secret stuff. The final segment it becomes a revenge drama like battle that is exciting and quite heartbreaking in parts but too draggy at the end. Lee Jun Hyuk plays the "guy who looks good in a suit" trying to make a living then later getting justice for his father. This series was too long for the story. If it had been 30 episodes it would have been much better. Many unnecessary scenes. Each part of the show could have been shaved.
What saves the show are the characters are generally likeable, even the villain's family is quite sympathetic. The friendships are touching especially the main actors. The romance with the leading ladies especially Kyung Soo Jin is an aspect that should have had more screen time. The cast is good including the older generation.
