- AnecdotesThe highly lyrical nature of his poetry has inspired many musical tributes in particular. He is eulogized in the Clash song "Spanish Bombs" (from the album "London Calling") and the Pogues song "Lorca's Novena" (from "Hell's Ditch). Canadian singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen translated one of García Lorca's poems as "Take This Waltz" (from "I'm Your Man") and also named his second child, a daughter Lorca, after him. In 2003 composer Osvaldo Golijov and playwright David Henry Hwang collaborated on a successful opera, "Ainadamar", about García Lorca's last days.
