He acted in Christopher Fry's play, "Venus Observed," in a Chichester Festival Production at the Chichester Festival Theatre in Chichester, West Sussex, England with Donald Sinden, Dennis Quilley, Kate O'Mara, Jean Boht, and Susannah Harker in the cast. James Roose-Evans was director.
Robert Portal recently completed the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge - rowing the Atlantic Ocean and raising over £350,000 for the charity Facing The World. The crossing was completed with friend James Cash and despite high seas, breaking all oars due to the force of the waves and a capsize, they finished the race after 63 days at sea.
