Bad acting and writing

This could have and should have been a really good movie, but bad acting, and poor writing doomed it to oblivion. The story covers a 30 year period and jumps all over the place. There are key characters that are spoken of, but never seen until much later. The scenes are shot on several different sets through the first half of the movie and you just feel confused. The last 30 minutes of the movie is the best part and you can get all you need from it. I would suggest fast forwarding to that and just watch the last parts. The movie is 2 hours long and should have been a 30 minute "After School Special".
