EXCELLENT! A good short film interesting, effective, outstanding and entertaining. The essence of horror and suspense is lived in every second of the short. The work of director Dylan Clark is very remarkable, he also made the script being quite admirable.
A story enriched in a well-supported narrative argument, with an incredible basis and psychological approach. The short film has a very good set-up, camera focuses and photographs. In addition to a sound and soundtrack work super aligned with what you want to transmit in each scene. To be a very small production (obviously) it is very well elaborated, it has a production deserving of applause.
The performance of our protagonist Jennifer Taher is the best of "Remains", that good development by the actress, those expressions and the way in which it connects the viewer with the feelings that she is carrying at the moment is phenomenal. Her performance catches you and takes you with it to history.
It only took 11 minutes for "Remains" to make you want to see more. The way the reflective part works is right, it is not easy to have the loss of a loved one, in this case a child, being able to reflect in scenes details of birthdays, rooms and more for that baby. The trauma that a mother has is uncommon, many of them enter a vicious circle of anxiety, sadness, melancholy, tears and imaginations. That is reflected in our protagonist, that detail of thinking that the baby is present adds many points to the short film.
Furthermore, to reach the point of losing courtesy as a result of the same loneliness and feelings encountered. It can also be added how striking suffering is for many spirits or demons, being attracted by the same and disturbing a number of individuals.
It's a sum of many things that perform very well, making a short film very interesting and worth it. Besides, the director leaves you that incognito of remorse for knowing whether it was natural death or murder. Per many spectators come to think of that point. Point for Dylan Clark.
