Layered Characters. Good Storyline. Heartwarming and Wholesome

It's a heartwarming, wholesome movie. It was refreshing to see a Filipino movie not centered on promiscuous sex, adultery or a love team. Was surprised to see it got low ratings from critics. I really enjoyed the film. The lead was good and so were the supporting actors. Each of them were able to portray their roles well. I also liked the depth of the main characters and the message of the film. I also appreciate the storytelling. Unlike most of mainstream Filipino movies the film doesn't insult the audience's intelligence by vocalizing the narrative, and instead effectively used sequences and plot devices to tell the story.
