As Prescribed

I'm trying to think of a different word to use than 'powerful', since it's been used already, but I can't think of a better word. I'm going to have to use 'authentic' again too.

This speaks with a voice coming authentically from the (for so long invisible, except to each other) patient community, showing the day to day patient and caregiver experience as it is.

It also holds up a mirror to the stubbornly obtuse response of so many in the medical community, as it sadly so often is. Anchoring the film by following the pioneering advocate Geraldine Burns, a hero in the community, is genius. The other personal stories followed bring out important aspects of the human experience of harm from prescribed benzos so clearly, and are so compelling.

Kudos to Robert Whitaker for adding his insight into the background of corrupted (or covered-up) science, and to all the individuals who--despite being made sick and having their lives turned upside down through no fault of their own--put in the effort (only they know how hard that was) to add their invaluable contributions, their testimony, to this work of truth.
