So I've recently caved in and decided to dig an old dvd player out of a closet and purchased many B-horror, sleazy, underground films that I've been interested in watching for ages but the filmmakers and distributors have decided VOD releases just won't happen. Still have many on the way, but so far I see why such convenient releases aren't available. I've been disappointed in most of them so far but none more than this one.
I prefixed that because my review may be a little skewed due to being disappointed after such a long wait and being forced to purchase the film through physical media. Still I found nothing enjoyable about this film.
Violence, blood, and gore - About as basic as it gets. Goreiest shot being a severed prosthetic(obviously so) member being in one of the obnoxious guys mouth. Mostly just slow stabbings with blood stains on characters shirts.
Humor - It's hard for sleazy b-horror films to nail humor but it can be done. This film fails at it though. I will give it that it's better than a lot of other films in its league.
Sex and Nudity - About as PG as a film with this name and subject matter can be. One sex scene with no nudity. One rape scene with 15 seconds of breast; scene mostly consist of pov shots of the rapist making dumb faces(attempt at humor). One shower scene with breast and a quick shot of buttock. Two more scenes with breast(one from titular character one from a separate character). One shot of male buttock with brief/obscured glimpse of his member(unsure if prosthetic or real) from behind. Like I said PG for a film with this name and subject matter which doesn't make much sense; definitely should have been far more graphic/explicit. Sex and Nudity was one thing this film could have done well without much effort, but it's seems more like effort was put in to make it cookie cutter.
The one good thing about this film was that it was over quick. So yeah I'd recommend skipping this one.
