The Green Oak Guardian

I don't usually write reviews but I just need to say that whoever did the sound editing in this movie needs to get out of the business. The movie is lacking in so many ways but that was the most egregious part. Lots of unrelated sounds cut choppily throughout the movie, it kept taking me out of it. I consider it a feat to have been able to finish watching the movie at all.

The lead female character is unlikeable, needlessly standoffish and cold in the beginning. Even though there is meant to be a transformation in her over the course of the movie, the actress playing her is unable to convincingly portray this change. The other actors are not remotely better in their roles either and the movie comes across like a hastily put together community theatre play.

It's not the worst movie I've ever seen but I wouldn't watch it again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.
