Although she had enjoyed success from the early 50's mainly on stage Millicent Martin's career was really going places, when mainly due to her success on David Frost's That was the week that was, ATV offered her this variety show that ran for 3 short series in slightly different formats and this firmly established her as a major tv star on British television , It was somewhat of a success earning her an award for female light entertainment personality of the year. Typical of an entertainment show of the period it consisted of Songs, comedy sketches and good quality guests - The likes of Roy Castle, Ron Moody, Bernard Cribbins and famously Roger Moore in a James Bond type spoof sketch years before he acquired the role. Millicent went on to movie roles in films such as Alfie and Those magnificent men and continued to act up until recently. Luckily most of the series survives in the ITV archives, would be good to see it shown again.
