This film is interesting because it stars Paul Parrot, Charley Chase's brother. Like Chase, Paul both acted in and directed many films for Hal Roach Studios and here he's in front of the camera instead of being behind it. His character, sadly, isn't all that funny...despite the goofy mustache and tiny hat.
Most of this comedy about gambling isn't all that funny. The scene where Paul plays poker with himself is not particularly funny, though the film DOES end with an amazing gag involving a donkey...one that you just have to see for yourself!
Overall, a few laughs....nothing more except for a strong ending.
