Originally, Dominique van Vliet was going to reprise her role as 'Mem Klinkhamer', but dropped out because of her busy schedule in the theatrical version of Mamma mia! (2008). The part was then offered to Froukje de Both (turned it down) and Chiara Tissen (unavailable) before Babette van Veen was eventually cast. However, she demanded her own song. The producers agreed and the song 'Hollywood' was written specially for her.
