This Old Cub

This is a great movie about a baseball legend who also happens to be a diabetic. Despite that disability (which he kept a secret for many years), he played baseball skillfully and continues to be an energetic and inspiring man. I am very puzzled by the relatively low overall rating it has received on this website, especially considering the positive written reviews it received, both on this website and by external movie critics. Maybe some people just don't like movies about real life. Or maybe the limited release was a problem. In my opinion, if you don't like this movie, you must have all three of the following characteristics: You don't like documentaries, you don't like baseball and you are not from Chicago. Anyone without all three is going to enjoy this movie. And please note, you do not have to be a Cubs fan. Sox fans will like it just as well, as will all baseball fans.
