The original. cast of this film was Manoj Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Shatrugan Sinha, and Hema Malini. The film has music by Shanker Jaikishan, It was first announced in 1976. When Manoj left the film due to problems, Rajesh stepped into his role, Shatrughan stepped into Rajesh Khanna's role and Kanwaljeet was signed for the role Shatrughan was to do.

Papi Pet Ka Sawaal Hai is produced & directed by Sohanlal Kanwar. It was released amidst great expectations after kaka's 3 consecutive hits - avtaar, souten & agar tum na hote.

It has Jayapradha as heroine. It is a routine story of revenge which was usually done by amitabh at that time. Rajesh khanna does not much to do here by way of acting. His romance with jayapradha does not jell in this movie which is surprising.

The film took a tremendous opening & then settled down in the average hit category.

Songs are a let down except the title song which is OK. Direction is nothing much to write about.
