The literal translation of the title of this movie is: the adventure of the clown.

It is very common for Chinese movies to make a statement, whether it is an advocate of something, or an introspection on something, or a social criticism. Even for comedies, there is no exception, and many, if not most comedies are satires. This movie is rather rare among the contemporary Chinese movies in that it does not make any obvious political statements, just plain simple fun that is well suited for the entire family. Unlike most Chinese crime movies which is based on the true stories that really happened in real life, this one is a fake.
