Lesser known samurai film is definitely worth a watch for fans of the genre

Fun, fairly breezy little known samurai film that delivers some decent action and comedy. It gets a little more serious in parts, but never overwhelmingly so.

The protagonist is intentionally a wild card, and that's one of the things that keeps things interesting. Also helpful is the inclusion of legendary veteran Tatsuya Nakadai in a supporting role, as well as the 88 minute runtime that ensures it doesn't overstay its welcome.

It might not offer much that other samurai films haven't, and it probably won't stick with me that much, but it was a fun watch that's otherwise hard to fault too much.
