Sweet Revenge

This is one of my favourite TV series ever and worth revisiting 23 years later when practically everything in it has changed.

A love letter to London wrapped up in a genuinely intriguing and original revenge story, it is still as wonderful as when first seen. Paul McGann's historian shares glimpses of the past but never his own and it's about to catch up with him. Sophie Okonedo is stunning throughout and a pleasure to watch as her character matures through her experiences. Susan Lynch is convincing as the captivating, mysterious nemesis.

London always changing, perhaps now not for the best. This was created and made by experienced, intelligent beings, with an understanding of what it is to be human. I can't recommend it enough.
