Christopher Saint Booth lends his inimitable musical and visual style to "Turquoise Blue", a New Age-influenced romance from Adam & Eve/Ultimate Pictures that bears the imprint of talented filmmakers Nick Orleans & Nick Steele, but fails to live up to expectations.
That's because the team decided to dispense with story line, merely having the two attractive leads Austin Moore and Julie Meadows chat in voice-over about the power of turquoise jems, crystals and other mineral artifacts, while relating erotic tales somehow benefitting from supernatural powers. Saint's music creates the required dreamy, other-worldly mood, but the glamorized sex scenes are more soporific than stimulating.
The cast is okay, not blessed with superstars, and sloppiness has opening credits promising us "Aleksandra Sylk" (a super-duper misspelling of long-time Adam & Eve regular Alexandra Silk, but the mistake is cleared up in the end credits attributing instead Aleksandra Nice, the lovely Euro star.
